What's
Hot. What's Not. For Fall 2006.
Updating for
fall/winter 2006 includes tights and leggings. I hesitate to
mention these two very big trends because the largest part of the female
population probably should steer clear of these trends. The word “trend
“ its self really states “younger”. Keep that in mind
as you look to add these items to your fall and winter wardrobe.
Young, trim and ladies with a good fashion sense can wear leggings pretty
much anyway they want. However, the new look is wearing leggings and tights
as layered looks, NOT worn on their own like in the 80’s. Wear them
with knit dresses, mini skirts, or under long dresses and skirts. Darker
legs (chocolate brown and black) are BEST. Lighter colors and brights
colors make legs look heavier. Some
tights can go to work or formal occasions but in general leggings are
a more casual look.
Have fun with this cold weather style but be very aware of your shape
and the size of you legs.

THE EYES have it!
Eyes are the main focus of emphasis right now. Everywhere you
turn there are new tips and tricks for making your eyes “POP”.
I have selected a few of my favorite ways to emphasize my peepers and
I thought I would share them with all of you.
1. White eyeliner on the lower lid. This makes your eyes look bigger and
more awake/alert.
2. Black eyeliner on the upper lid only so your lashes look fuller without
making your eye appear overly dark.
3. I use my blush as eye shadow for a more natural look.
4. If I wear a bold eye shadow color I apply it at the crease of my upper
eyelid. By applying my shadow in this manner I don’t overpower my
other facial features and the hint of color is a nice accent when I feel
like something different.
Since everyone’s eyes are different shapes and sizes these tips
can be easily altered to best fit your face. For instance if your eyelid
has a fairly deep crease you might want to try using more eye shadow,
if you have shallow creases use less. Remember these are just guidelines
and that fashion is only fun if it works for you.

Your
questions. Your answers. Your Thoughts.
Q.
When should you wear jeans under a dress
or skirt? Is this a new fashion?
A.Jeans
are the new pantyhose.
Leggings may be in but
jeans are showing up under just about everything: dresses, tunics, shirts,
skirts, you name it.

The empire waist is back. Shown here is a sportier look
with jeans underneath a dress. Quite "in" and better than leggings
for some of us.
